'Star Citizen' Faces Lawsuit Over Release Date, Kickstarter Backers

Earlier this week, Cloud Imperium Games, the studio of developers behind the long-in-development video game Star Citizen, earned some great praise from fans after announcing that refunds are available for backers of the project. The studio has been working on the game since a Kickstarter was started in 2012, but many are mad that nothing has been announced yet. In fact, one former backer named Derek Smart has this week threated legal action against the company unless they announce a release date and explain what's been taking so long. 'Star Citizen' Kickstarter Backers Can Recieve Pledge Refunds

Star Citizen is one of the most anticipated video games in recent history, mainly because the project was started in 2012 and is still in the works. This length of development has plenty of backers that helped fund the project through Kickstarter on now on the game's official website, but we've learned this week that disgruntled donators are able to get refunds from the developers over at Cloud Imperium. Mets Fan Buys Billboard Asking Wilpons to Sell the Team

New York Mets fans may never be happy. Even when they're winning things seem to go wrong. Gary Palumbo, a lifelong Mets fan, raised $6,700 on Kickstarter to put up a billboard across the street from Citfield that read "Fred, Jeff and Saul: Sell the Team." Using the money raised from Kickstarter Palumbo also ordered shirts and place cards that say the same thing. Ironically since the sign went up the Mets found themselves in first place and are in the midst of a five-game-winning streak. There essentially isn't a worse time to put up the sign. Read More »

The innovators of the rap game are now innovating how albums are being recorded, as this new album will be completely crowd funded. Fans can pay tribute to the legends by donating to De La Soul's Kickstarter campaign. Those who donate will help move forward a project that includes David Byrne, 2 Chainz and Little Dragon.
