New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has gotten his team the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the NFL playoffs, and he's also just helped them try to win this coming offseason, restructuring his contract and sacrificing a potential $24 million in the process. As the Pats prepare for their playoff bye week - hosting the lowest seed remaining from the Indiana Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers vs Baltimore Ravens wildcard match-ups - Brady has given the Pats breathing room under next season's salary cap, which could be used to resign stars such as Darrelle Revis, Nate Solder and Shane Vereen. For the Falcons to get in, they need to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 17. The Lions and the Packers have both clinched playoff berths, but the winner of the Week 17 matchup between the two teams will decide who enters the postseason as North Division champions and No.2 seed and who goes in as a wild card. Justin Bieber and Rob Gronkowski added some star power to the Los Angeles Clippers's locker room last night, Dec. 1, with the pair hanging out and joking around with Clippers superstars Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul in L.A. after an impressive win. But does that mean the Pats's NFL season is sunk? The pop superstar — who has attended numerous Clippers games this year, what with the L.A. Lakers being terrible, and the star New England Patriots tight end, along with some of his other Pats teammates, including running back Jonas Gray — headed to the Staples Center locker room after the Clippers's 127-101 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to celebrate and take photos with Clips players. Brian Hoyer spent years trying to dislodge Tom Brady from his starting QB role for the New England Patriots, but he, similarly to Ryan Mallett, both failed to move him from his position. Hoyer is now happy with the Cleveland Browns, beating out Johnny Manziel, and he will now face Mallett, who is with the Houston Texans.
