Live From New York ... Eddie Murphy is Hosting 'Saturday Night Live'

By Kyle Dowling | Apr 01, 2015 09:49 AM EDT

It's happening folks! Despite delivering an oh, so awkward appearance on the famed Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special, Eddie Murphy is set to prove to the world that he is still one of the funniest guys around. Therefore, the comedian has signed on to host an episode of SNL sometime next month. Murphy was undoubtedly one of the guys who saved Saturday Night Live back in the 80s; he eventually (and quickly) blew up to become one of the most famous names to come out of the show. But as the years went on we started seeing less and less of him - perhaps as the movies became less and less enjoyable. Read More »

'SNL' Introduces a White Guy Character to 'Empire' [WATCH]

By Kyle Dowling | Mar 08, 2015 12:02 PM EDT

Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live certainly didn't disappoint––and it looks like it had nothing to do with host Chris Hemsworth's looks. Okay, maybe it did a little bit. Okay, a lot... but the NBC sketch series' Empire skit definitely helped quite a bit. Taking on the famed Terrence Howard FOX series – an instant hit for the network – SNL decided to add a little bit of color to the show, particularly with a white guy character played by the one and only Thor star. 'SNL' Offends Viewers with ISIS Father-Daughter Sketch [WATCH]

By Kyle Dowling | Mar 01, 2015 11:02 AM EST

Looks like not everyone was thrilled with Dakota Johnson's appearance on last night's Saturday Night Live. Not necessarily because of her actual performance, of course. We're actually speaking of a certain sketch that has now caused a Twitter outrage online. In a father-daughter commercial parody, SNL player Taran Killam played a father dropping off his daughter, who was played by host and 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, at the airport. The sketch mocks the very same Toyota car commercial in which a father brings his newly enlisted daughter to the airport. In this bit, however, the daughter does not head inside, and she's not in the army. Instead, she catches a ride from someone else––ISIS. Which, as you might guess, is where the outrage came. The sketch left many viewers feeling that the legendary NBC sketch show crossed the line. Read More »
