New Spider-Man Tom Holland Gets Andrew Garfield's Approval

When Sony and Marvel came together to bring Peter Parker/Spider-Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Andrew Garfield was out of a job and his Amazing Spider-Man movies came to an end. It turns out that the actor isn't that mad about this film industry move and that he's pretty excited about newcomer Tom Holland taking over the role, first in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and then a solo film directed by Jon Watts in 2017, with more to come after that. Turmoil is probably the best word to describe the current state of the Avengers following Age of Ultron. With the few extra spots open on the team it seems like the Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon be opening their hearts to the teenage sensation Spider-Man after Disney acquired the hero from Sony. With the impending arrival of Spidey a few filmakers are rumored to take the helm including Jonathan Levine, Ted Melfi, Jason Moore, John Frances, Jonathan M. Goldstein and Jared Hess. Levine was the writer for 50/50 and Warm Bodies. Melfi was the writer/director of the Golden Globe nominated film St. Vincent. Moore wrote Pitch Perfect.
