Apple iPad Pro 2 Specs And Launch: To Be Launched On April 4 With A New 10.5 Inch Model

Apple iPad Pro is a tablet with added functionality and features and can go head to head with premium laptops. According to the new reports, the iPad Pro 2 is expected to be released on April 4 this year.

Apple iPad Pro 2 will come with an updated A10X processor, upgraded cameras, TrueTone screen and will come with a second-generation Apple Pencil. The new Apple iPad Pro 2 is also expected to come with water resistant capabilities.

The company has not officially announced the Apple iPad Pro 2 but there are speculations that suggest that Apple may hold a special media event to introduce its new iPads, reported BGR. Along with the iPad Pro 2, Apple is also planning to a launch a 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a refreshed 9.7-inch model to replace the ageing iPad Air 2. A 7.9-inch updated iPad Mini is also expected to be announced soon.

The current generation iPad Pro was made available on April 4 last year and following the pattern, Apple is expected to launch the iPad Pro 2 around the same timeframe. The launch event might take place at Apple's new Spaceship Campus, which is also slated to open in April this year, reported PCAdvisor.

The iPad Pro 2 is expected to feature upgraded cameras and it will be thinner and lighter that the current gen iPad Pro. Apple may also remove the headphone jack in the upcoming iPad to make it thinner. There are speculations that the iPad Pro 2 will come in two screen sizes - 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch. The smaller iPad Pro 2 might come with no home button on the front and no bezels on the screen.

It is also reported that Apple might use AMOLED display in its next-gen iPad Pro. The prices for Apple iPad Pro 2 will be similar to the current generation iPad Pro. Apple might bump up the storage of the base model to 64 GB. Also, Wi-Fi + Cellular version of iPad Pro 2 might get a 64GB storage option as well.
