The early millennial years were different times. IPhones didn't exist yet and Kim Kardashian was on the cusp of gracing us with Keeping up With the Kardashians. For the last year AC/DC has been performing without Phil Rudd at drum kit because he fell into some legal issues and it seems those issues aren't going away anytime soon. Don't expect his AC/DC return because he is expected to plead guilty on charges relating to an incident where he threatening to kill a former employee while also being in possession drugs. It was announced earlier this month that the developers of Marvel's "Agents of SHIELD" were working out a spinoff for the series. If you've been watching, then you'll be pleased to find out that the current storyline in the show has everything to do with the last few episodes of this second season. Grand Theft Auto IV continues to surprise. If you own the PC version of the game players will have the ability to customize their own radio stations. The ability to do this is only for the PC. Playstation 4 and Xbox One's version lacks this ability. Read More »
On Saturday the National Mall featured a special concert called the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day Rally. Over a dozen artists including top acts such as Gwen Stefani and Usher came out to raise awareness for political issues such as climate change and poverty. Other than the peaceful message, the most spectacular part of the event may have been Usher performing with an injury. He was able to sing and dance without a leg cast slowing him down. Read More »
When the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer first debuted it piqued the interest of the hardcore fan and the casual fan. That's a special feat when it comes to a comic book movie about characters that aren't mainstream. Once Guardians finally hit the big screen last summer, it exploded. The film became the most successful Marvel feature since the Avengers. Naturally the film is slated for a sequel but it looks like it may not be called Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Last year a Madden NFL simulation correctly predicted the Super Bowl and now 2K Sports will be following in their footsteps. The 2K Sports team simulated the entire NBA playoffs using NBA 2K15 and they came out with interesting results. The Cleveland Cavaliers found themselves in the NBA Finals after beating the Hawks in six game series in the Eastern Conference championship. Read More »
Former Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight will be standing trial on the charges of murder and hit-and-run. These charges stem from an incident on January 29th that took place in Compton, California where he allegedly injured Cle "Bone" Sloan, and killed Terry Carter. After the incident that ironically took place on the set of the NWA biopic, Knight turned himself into police the next day. Read More »
New York Mets fans may never be happy. Even when they're winning things seem to go wrong. Gary Palumbo, a lifelong Mets fan, raised $6,700 on Kickstarter to put up a billboard across the street from Citfield that read "Fred, Jeff and Saul: Sell the Team." Using the money raised from Kickstarter Palumbo also ordered shirts and place cards that say the same thing. Ironically since the sign went up the Mets found themselves in first place and are in the midst of a five-game-winning streak. There essentially isn't a worse time to put up the sign. Read More »
After some easy hacking of Mortal Kombat X a YouTube user by the name of XVermillion posted a few videos to his page where he shows players how to mod the game in a way where you are able to unlocked Rain, Sindel and Baraka. You can't really play with them online or in one-on-one Kombat though. The small group of fighters is only available in the PC version's training mode. Read More »
TNA Wrestling has been in a state of flux as of late just when things were on the up-and-up after signing with a channel that allowed them worldwide exposure. Problems with payment lead to several wrestlers voicing their gripe about not getting paychecks. One such talent who has been really fed up over not receiving his money was TNA's top announcer Taz and this week he left the company. Before even being a teenager she donned the role of Hermoine Granger in the 'Harry Potter' films and on top of that she's a U.N. women's ambassador.
