With Furious 7 hitting theaters early next month, director James Wan has officially announced that he's finished with his work on the film and focused on his next project: the highly anticipated sequel to his new horror franchise, The Conjuring. We really don't know much about the upcoming third installment of the rebooted Star Trek movie franchise, currently referred to as Star Trek 3, but we're pretty excited that series star Simon Pegg is currently writing the film's script with screenwriter Doug Jung for director Justin Lin. Considering Pegg has been in the two previous films directed by J.J. Abrams and has a certain knowledge or and a draw in the "nerd" universe, we're most likely in good hands. When we learned that the next X-Men movie, Apocalypse and the recently announced Gambit standalone film project starring Channing Tatum both received release dates in 2016, we knew that next year would be a great year for fans of comic book adaptations.
