David Letterman is winding down his legendary position as the Late Show host. Before handing the torch over to Stephen Colbert, Letterman is having a slew of A-list guests on the final episodes of his program. One such name will be the Dave Matthews Band. And now only will DMB be performing on the show, they will also reportedly perform a 45-minute set on what’s called Legends on Letterman. The mini-concert will air the day before their Late Show appearance, which is Friday, May 8. Comedian David Letterman is winding down his longtime run over on CBS' The Late Show, which will kick off episodes with its new host Stephen Colbert this coming September. And now, it's being reported that Letterman has released who his final guests will be as he comes down to the final show on this coming May 20. Joining him in some of his last episodes will be the likes of Oprah, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and many, many more. It’s official … Stephen Colbert is heading to CBS this coming Sept. 8! The former Colbert Report host ended his reign on Comedy Central at the end of last year, but it’ll be a little while until we see him taking the spot at the Ed Sullivan Theater. With the retirement of David Letterman rapidly approaching and former Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert taking his place, people suddenly realized that CONAN host Conan O’Brien is now the elder of the late night crew. Since newcomer Seth Meyers has taken over the Late Night spot, Jimmy Fallon has dominated and changed The Tonight Show (for the better) and Craig Ferguson now finished, that leaves O’Brien to keep the late night we’ve grown to love over the years going.
