Conrad Hilton might be the worst behaved of all the Hiltons. While he may not have the notability as Paris, he still manages to grab headlines – and it's not in the fun way like his sister did either. Earlier this week, Hilton was arrested in his ex-girlfriend Hunter Salomon's home. For years, Pete Rose has said he only bet on baseball as a manager and not a player. However, new court documents are saying otherwise. According to the ESPN series Outside the Lines, Rose bet on games while he was playing. The documents are from copies of a notebook seized from the home of Rose's former associate Michael Bertolini back in 1989. Authorities say the authenticity of this evidence was verified by two sources that were a part of that '89 raid. The evidence also shows that the mob had a mortgage on him while he was both a player and manager. Read More »
Daniel Bryan's rise to fame in the WWE was a special sight to see. The man who started his career by wrestling in front of gymnasiums of 12 people eventually rose to fame as one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time through his infectious Yes Movement. His legitimacy as one of the best we have ever seen was solidified at Wrestlemania 30 when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a match against Randy Orton and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista. Sadly Bryan's career has been derailed by injuries and it looks like this very special champion of the people may be forced to retire. This week P Diddy used a kettlebell the wrong way. When the rap mogul found out a UCLA coach was riding his son, Diddy got in the guys face and the situation escalated to a point where a kettlebell was used as a weapon. After divorcing Cannon, the pop star Carey went from a one-man media empire to a boyfriend who is simply known as a billionaire. The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add forward DeMarcus Cousins to their team. There's one problem though. Kings Coach George Karl is all for the trade but owner Vivek Ranadive feels otherwise. Ranadive believes Cousins should stay home with the Kings. His mantra goes against the reason why the team hired Karl. The beef between Brian Williams and MSNBC is deeper than just a few lies told on national television. Apparently, it goes as far back as 2012 when the staff of the left-leaning news network believed Williams arrogantly aired a piece that called MSNBC, Fox News and CNN blowhards. A few months after that piece aired the staffers were still angry with him. They were so angry they chanted "f**k Brian Williams" at their annual holiday party. Read More »
James Horner was a two-time Oscar winner and served as the composer for films such as Star Trek, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams and Apollo 13. His best-known work though came during his composition of Braveheart and Titanic . Sad that a man who could make the claim as one of the best composers in movies has passed away so soon. 61-year-old Horner died in a plane crash near Santa Barbara on Monday. South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley called for a new day on her state Capitol Monday. A week after a 21-year-old walked into an African American church and gunned down nine people, the Governor wants the Confederate flag removed from the Capitol. In movie land, Jake Lloyd is best known as the pod-racing child from "Star Wars: Phantom Menace." These days, he hasn't shied too far from his pod racing roots. Last week, the former child star was involved in a high-speed police chase up and down South Carolina roads. Read More »
Last year, Michael Keaton flirted with a comic book role in "Birdman" and now Keaton will be a superhero once again as he'll have a starring role in the Image Comics movie, "Imagine Agents." In a non-title bout Showtime "Shawn" Porter beat Adrien "The Problem" Broner in a unanimous decision. Despite the bout being so one-sided for most of it Broner went all out in the 12th round and nearly beat Porter with a wide-open left hand a minute in. Read More »
To the dismay of many Brian Williams is not out at NBC Nightly News. While he won't be returning to his coveted nighttime slot, he will soon begin covering news on MSNBC. The announcement was made last week and Williams had his first interview with Matt Lauer on Friday.
