Robin Thicke released the music video for his new song entitled 'Blurred Lines' featuring T.I and Pharrell Williams that will be digitally released on March 26. The "Lost Without You" singer's latest song is the first single off of his upcoming album that he's putting the final touches on, states Huffington Post. The still untitled album marks the 6th studio project for Thicke. VIBE TV spoke with the R&B crooner on the set of his 'Blurred Lines' video shoot, where he revealed details on his forthcoming release. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, aka Theo Huxtable, & his girlfriend Regina King are currently going through a messy break up! The two childhood stars split, after dating for 2 years, because Warner apparently "wasn't feeling it anymore," a US Weekly source reveals. The sudden split was also not a clean break, as The Cosby Show star reportedly asked King and her 17-year-old son, from her previous marriage, to move out of the house that they shared. Mayer is back on tour! The announcement of John Mayer's 2013 tour dates comes only days after his split with ex-girlfriend Katy Perry. The "Gravity" singer, who was forced to take 10 months off to treat a throat condition, is finally better and ready to refocus on singing and promoting his 2012 album, "Born and Raised," reveals E! News. The 2013 tour, kicking off July 6th at Milwaukee's SummerFest, will be his first major concert tour in three years following his unfortunate vocal hiatus, Billboard reports. Nearly all of Mayer's concerts will be opened by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips who has strummed his way to the top of the charts this year with his single "Home." Mayer will visit over 40 cities in four countries during the July-October tour, including dates at Colorado's famed Red Rocks (July 16) and the Hollywood Bowl (Oct. 5), as well as festival stops at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sept. 17), and Rock in Rio in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (Sept. 21). Jonn Hamm has been having a HUGE problem while filming the sixth season of AMC's Mad Men TV show. Don Draper's 'bulge' is not only bursting the seams in the 1960's-style wardrobe, but his revealing package also must be digitally altered in advertisements, claims NY Daily News. An AMC insider tells Confidenti@l that during filming for the upcoming season of the hit show, which is set in the "tight times" era, Hamm was politely instructed by a staffer at the network to put on underwear while shooting his 'Don Draper' scenes. "This season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination," a source tells NY Daily News. "Jon's impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear." Further, Hamm's crotch area be digitally altered for billboards and bus ads because his bulge is too noticeable in pictures.The source also said that during seasons one and two, AMC's marketing team even had to do some "Photoshop magic" on promotional booklets that went out to press in order to make his private parts more private. The 23-year-old singer's name is now reportedly being linked to the 20-year-old Vans World Cup Surfing Champ in the next surge of romance rumors. Actress and producer Reese Witherspoon may be producing and starring in a film adaptation of The Engagements, an upcoming novel from author J. Courtney Sullivan, Deadline reported on Wednesday. According to Variety, Fox 2000 has acquired the rights to the novel and is in negotiations with Witherspoon and her producing partner, Bruna Papandrea, to produce the film through the actress' Pacific Standard production company. The "Legally Blonde" star will reportedly sign on to produce the film regardless of her final decision to join what would be an ensemble cast in a supporting role, states the Inquisitr. Read More »
The "Too Little, Too Late" singer JoJo is back with a new sound. The 22-year-old released her new music video today for the song "Andre" off of her 'Agápē' mixtape. After moving to L.A. from Boston, she found her own sound and started having some fun with her music-and thus, Agápē, was born, Complex reports. "Agápē showcases JoJo's ability to write exactly what she's experienced without abiding by anyone else's rules." In the latest "90's nostalgia" concert, "Under the Sun Tour" 2013, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray recently announced the majority of the upcoming dates for the summer tour featuring iconic bands from the 1990's: Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Smashmouth, Vertical Horizon & Fastball! The Sugar Ray frontman decided to launch his own flashback concert after touring with fellow '90s pop/rock bands Everclear, Gin Blossoms, Lit and Marcy Playground during Summerland concert last summer. "It was great, and it proved to me there's a market for this kind of thing. We weren't reinventing the wheel. Every decade has their tours. There's the Sixties, the Seventies, the Eighties. . . Pearl Jam's mysterious new album, which we've been gearing up for since 2009's Backspacer, finally has a new update! Thanks to a tweet from Incubus' Mike Einziger, we learned that the lead guitarist of the alt-rock band has been working in the studio with the rockers of Pearl Jam. This musical collaboration was brought to our attention when Einziger tweeted his followers a picture of him, his girl, and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder in a recording studio together: "In the studio with my girl and Eddie Vedder, recording strings for Pearl Jam's new album :)" Read More »
Cedric the Entertainer' has been named the new host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire." One of the original "Kings of Comedy" replaces Meredith Vieira, who has hosted the daytime version of the game show since it began airing in syndication in 2002, reports USA Today. Despite lingering death hoaxes, Ced will prove that he is very much alive and well when he takes over the 'Millionaire' position, originally held by Regis Philbin, this coming fall. If it weren't for music classes in public schools, we may never have been exposed to the phenomenal drumming sounds in 'Chili Peppers' songs like "Californication" and "Under the Bridge." 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith notes the importance of music education in schools and is part of a group lobbying Congress this week. While touring the city of Washington, the musician fights for music funding in public schools, according to Rolling Stone, which helped get Smith to where he is today. The 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, has joined forces with National Association of Music Merchants president and CEO Joe Lamond to promote music education in Washington, D.C. on behalf of comprehensive music education in U.S. public schools, reports San Diego Union Tribune. The 51-year-old will spend the next couple of days, along with nearly 30 NAMM representatives, in our nation's capital & will meet with various politicians to make impassioned pleas on behalf of music education in the classroom.
