Afrojack, Sting Collaboration? EDM DJ Recruits Former 'The Police' Frontman As [his] Friend' for his New Album Dropping in September

DJ Afrojack, born Nick van de Wall, has collaborated with notable artists like David Guetta, Ne-Yo, Steve Aoki, and most recently Chris Brown to "jack" out his hit singles like he and C-Breezy's "As Your Friend" dance track, which will appear on Afrojack's is new album, dropping in September. Recently, the Dutch music producer has recruited a new and seemingly unlikely "friend" to work with on his upcoming record: former 'The Police' frontman Sting! This news was learned when a teaser photo of Afrojack and Sting in the studio together was posted to Afrojack.com on April 10th. The surprising picture was uploaded onto the DJ's website with the caption: "That's all we can say for now...stay tuned!" On the same day, the Netherlands native also tweeted (in response to the same photo tweeted by Sting's twitter handle): "@OfficialSting @MKCherryBoom its gonna be a blast!" Read More »

'Pretty Lights' finally revealed the details surrounding his upcoming album, 'A Color Map of the Sun,' during his performance at 'Coachella' Sunday night! Fans who attended the festival were privileged enough to hear some of the new music that the 'Pretty Lights' mastermind, Derek Vincent Smith, has been working on for his upcoming album, which he also revealed the release date for: July 2nd 2013. As for electronic fans who couldn't make it to the 'Coachella' festival in California, the "electrohiphopsoul" producer artist released the first single off of his two-disc album today, entitled 'Around the Block' today, announced DancingAstronaut. Chi Cheng's Death: 'Deftones' Bassist's Heart 'Suddenly Stops' while Recovering from Car Accident-Induced Coma

After living in a "partially conscious" state since the unfortunate car accident that put the musician in a coma back in 2008, the 'Deftones' bassist Chi Cheng, 42, has reportedly died this weekend. "His heart just suddenly stopped," Cheng's mother, Jeanne Marie Cheng, revealed on One Love for Chi website. Cheng was taken to an emergency room in Sacramento, where the talented musician died at 3 a.m on April 13th, reports Rolling Stone. "He left this world with me singing songs he liked in his ear. He fought the good fight," his mother wrote. "You stood by him sending love daily. He knew that he was very loved and never alone." On November 4th, 2008 in Santa Clara, California, Cheng was the passenger of a car that was involved in an accident, which resulted in the bassist being ejected from the vehicle (he was not wearing a seat belt at the time), and left him in a coma and fighting for his life. 'Wu-Tang Clan' New Album 'A Better Tomorrow' Drops July 2013; Coachella Marks First Tour Stop for Reunited Hip Hop Group

Almost 20 years since their inauguration into the hip hop scene with their debut album 'Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers,' all 8 living members of the legendary 'Wu-Tang Clan' have reunited on the group's first collective studio album in nearly six years: 'A Better Tomorrow.' It has recently been announced in a UK press release that the latest album from the east coast rappers, RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa, will drop in July of 2013. The press release also revealed a few July tour dates when the "greatest hip hop group of all time" will perform in the UK, reports Pitchfork. The Clan's performance at Coachella 2013 this Sunday night (4/14) marks the group's first stop on their "short tour" that will hit the road this summer (see all announced TOUR DATES below). Starbucks Price Cut: Packaged Coffee Drops a 'Buck' in Grocery Stores as the Chain Jumps on the Bandwagon

Starbucks coffee addicts will soon save themselves a "buck" at grocery stores, as the Seattle-based corporation has decided to jump on the bandwagon and cut their packaged coffee prices by an average of 10% beginning on May 10, reports Reuters. Although this does not mean that the "beloved" coffee chain will charge less for their seemingly overpriced Venti Lattes in their countless cafes across the nation, the suggested retail price of their 12-ounce bag of its whole and ground coffee will drop a "buck" from $9.99 to $8.99 beginning next month. Starbucks has reportedly made this move to stay competitive as coffee bean prices have steadily declined, notes LA Times. 'Rachel Zoe Project' Cancelled? Rumors NOT True, Season Five of Bravo Reality Show Pulls in Low Ratings

Despite recent rumors that Bravo's 'The Rachel Zoe Project' has already been cancelled by the network due to continuously low ratings for season 5 of the reality show, a Bravo rep has stepped up to deny this false information and stated that no official decision has been made, reports E! News. Radar Online first revealed the premature news, on April 11th, that the show following the celebrity stylist was not being renewed for a 6th season. The site reported that a show insider told them: "The decision has been made to cancel Rachel's show...all we are waiting for is the announcement. Dropping on April 23rd, the wait for the rest of the Black Eyed Peas frontman's newest series of hits its almost over! While will.i.am initially planned for his fourth album to be released October 2012 and feature Rihanna, Redfoo and David Guetta, unauthorized leaks forced the producer to write new songs and push its release date back to April 23, reports Idolnator. The talented 14-year-old 'X Factor' season two finalist from Maplewood, New Jersey reportedly became the first singer to sign with the Hollywood/Syco Records collaborative label arrangement, states The Hollywood Reporter. American Apparel Ads Banned in UK: Controversy over Models' "Vulnerable Poses" in Latest Website Campaign, ASA Slams Retailer

American Apparel, the "controversial" US retailer, has regularly broken advertising rules in the past by using exploitative images of young women, and they're at it again in their latest campaign featured on their website. The Advertising Standards Authority received complaints that the two models were shown in vulnerable positions, and that the images were offensive, overtly sexual and objectified women.American Apparel ads are stirring up controversy once again! Their latest website campaign features "voyeuristic" images of models in "vulnerable poses" and therefore has reportedly been banned by the ASA in the UK, reports NY Daily News. Recently, the brand posted six photos of a model in a bodysuit and thigh-high socks on a bed without her face shown, from the front showing her legs open or in a kneeling or reclining position, states Huffington Post UK. Another ad showed her wearing only a jumper while her bottom half appeared naked, reclining on a bed with her legs in the air. Of a series of six images of one of the models, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said: "We considered the images were overtly sexual and that they demeaned women by emphasising the model's groin, buttocks and breasts and by not including her face."
