The latest super hero blockbuster is finally here. Zach Snyder and Christopher Nolan's "Man of Steel" hit theaters Friday to a ton of fan fare and big expectations. After "Superman Returns" disappointed, Warner Bros. is hoping their Superman reboot with an all-new cast of characters can bring the franchise back to life. In case you haven’t heard, there is a new Superman movie about to hit theaters June 14. "Man of Steel" will be featuring a new actor donning the blue and red tights. Everyone may not know who Austin Mahone is yet, but his passionate and large fan base known as the "Mahomes" are sure to help the 17-year-old singer propel into superstardom, if he hasn't already. Mahone became popular in 2011 after releasing viral YouTube videos. The 2013 Governor's Ball in New York City is taking place this weekend with the final day going on today at Randall's Island. There are a variety of big name acts that performed this weekend. Guns N' Roses, Kendrick Lamar, and Kings of Leon were just some of the artists that performed Saturday. Among the performers on Sunday includes Kanye West, The Avett Brothers, and The Lumineers. The former "Freaks and Geeks" star made the announcement on "The View" this past Friday and shared the engagement details. Mariah Carey, fresh off the news that she will not be returning for season 13 of "American Idol" as a judge, announced the release date for her new 2013 album. Mimi announced on Twitter on Wednesday that her new, but still untitled album will be released July 23. Carey tweeted, "The New Era Begins.. 7/23 #MC723." There has been no additional information given about the album, but you can be sure we will be seeing a lot of Carey as the album's release date approaches. Tyler, the Creator aka Justin Bieber's best friend found himself in the middle of some drama Thursday evening in Sydney, Australia. The Wolf rapper may be in some trouble with the police after allegedly verbally abusing a protester at a concert at the Enmore theatre in Newtown, Sydney. Amanda Bynes was reportedly offered a job with Playboy. However, it was not to grace the cover of Playboy magazine without clothes on. Instead, according to TMZ, Playboy wants Bynes to be a full-time radio host for Playboy radio. Playboy radio tweeted at Bynes on Monday saying they want her to co-host on their radio channel. The offer would be for Bynes to host her own daily radio show, which would be an hour long. Unfortunately for everyone, Bynes turned down the offer, because she is working on her music career.
