On a recent episode of the hit realty singing show the "X-Factor," beautiful contestant Cece Frey closed out the night's competition with a diva-esque rendition of Celine Dion's "All by Myself." Judge and mentor Demi Lovato was a fan - L.A. Reid and Britney Spears... not so much. Lovato got pretty defensive, at least towards Reid (she let Spears get away with her rather negative comments). Reid didn't have much to say about Frey's performance, good or bad (other than the fact he didn't like her dress). Even so, 20-year-old Lovato lashed back in a verbal attack, throwing one of Reid's favorite contestants (Vino Alan) under the bus. Reid wasn't too happy about that. Lucille Bliss, voice of the infamously-sweet Smurfette on the popular 1980s cartoon sitcom "The Smurfs," died of natural causes at the Mesa Verde Residential Care Center in Costa Mesa, California on Thursday, November 8. Bliss was 96-year-old. Although Bliss is best known for her work on "The Smurfs," the American actress has voiced a number of popular cartoon characters over the past six decades - including "Crusader Rabbit" (1950-1952), Anastasia Tremaine in "Cinderella" (1950), numerous guest-spots on "The Flintstones" (1960-1978), and the original youngster Elroy Jetson on "The Jetsons" (1962-1963). The newest James Bond blockbuster installment "Skyfall" hit theaters last Friday (Nov. 9) to the pure joy of many Bond enthusiasts. Actor Daniel Craig has been mega-busy out promoting the 23rd spy film to make it in the infamous "James Bond" series, and was recently asked a rather interesting question by the wise guys over at Global Grind. So, hypothetically, who would make a better, sexier future Bond Girl - Rihanna or Beyoncé? If the choice were left up to Craig? Rihanna - definitely. Despite being arrested and charged with fourth degree domestic assault just a day before their planned wedding ceremony, reports confirm that former NFL star Jerramy Stevens married U.S. Olympic soccer player Hope Solo on Tuesday evening (Nov. 13). The duo tied the knot just hours after appearing in Washington municipal court, where all charges were eventually dropped against Stevens due to "lack of evidence." Sports radio broadcaster Dave Mahler broke news of the marriage on Twitter on Wednesday - although Stevens was released from police custody, he still faces an impending investigation into the suspected drunken physical assault against Solo. In a controversial report published by the Daily News on Wednesday (Nov. 13), many anonymous Jets football players made negative remarks about their new teammate and popular quarterback Tim Tebow, referring to him as a "terrible" player and insisting that there's no chance he'd be able to take over Mark Sanchez's responsibilities and talents as starting quarterback. After the report hit the media, Tebow made a positive public statement that reaffirmed his ongoing dedication to the Jets team, no matter what. On the other hand, Jets coach Rex Ryan was rather angered by the seedy report, stating that such actions by Tebow's teammates were "cowardly." Actor Doug Hutchinson's teen bride (and third wife) Courtney Stodden was scheduled to make her highly-anticipated live singing debut at the popular West Hollywood gay bar the Abbey on Nov. 21 - but the event has since been canceled, apparently because L.A.'s "SBE Entertainment Group" just couldn't handle the controversial "Couples Therapy" star. The 18-year-old blonde bombshell was set to perform her original song "Reality" accompanied by a sexy stripper pole-dance, but it doesn't look like that's about to happen anytime soon. Dennis Avner, a popular body modification enthusiast better known by his Native American name "Stalking Cat" man, was found dead in his hometown of Tonopah, Nevada on November 5. The cause of Avner's death has yet to be confirmed, but reports allege that he committed suicide. Avner, who underwent several surgeries and cosmetic procedures under the guidance of popular body modification artist Steve Haworth in order to achieve his tiger-like appearance, gained worldwide fame after the Guinness Book of World Records awarded him the the title of "most permanent transformations to look like an animal" a few years ago. A total of 125 musicians, including Billy Joel, Rihanna, and Missy Elliot, are fighting the popular music streaming site Pandora Radio over potential compensation changes. In an open letter addressed to Pandora Media Inc., such well-known musicians (who claim to be fans of the online music company) stress their opposition to the "Internet Radio Fairness Act." Pandora is currently lobbying Congress to pass the new bill, which many musicians argue will "cut by 85 percent the amount of money an artist receives when his or her songs are played over the Internet."
