Dustin Diamond has reported to jail in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. The 39-year-old, who played the perennial nerd, Screech, on "Saved by the Bell" and its later spin-offs, was sentenced to four months after being found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, two misdemeanors that each carry a 60-day sentence. He was found not guilty of the felony charge of reckless endangerment which could have landed him in prison for 10 years. Read More »
Nick Carter has been arrested after being involved in a common bar fight at Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West, Florida. The 35-year-old All American singer was taken into custody at 8:13 p.m. and booked for misdemeanor battery. In an almost humorous side note, his arrest report listed his occupation as "None." Fresh off his Golden Globe win for his performance in The Revenant, Leonardo DiCaprio has received an Academy Award nomination for the same role. The announcement was made this morning in Hollywood at 5:30am by actor John Krasinski and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. This makes the fifth acting Oscar nod for the 41-year-old star and most believe this is his year to break the losing streak. Read More »
NBC has given Jimmy Fallon a five year extension which means the 41-year-old host will be behind the desk of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon through 2021. The Emmy winner took over the 11:35 p.m. show from Jay Leno in February 2014. Before that he hosted the Late Night slot for almost five years. Khloe Kardashian has had her share of drama in the last few months, including ex-husband Lamar Odom's medical emergency, but her latest incident was perhaps just as scary. It seems on a recent American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York, the 31-year-old reality star's plane experienced an equipment malfunction when the pilots reported a mysterious electrical smell in the cockpit. On Friday night, the 29-year-old Liz & Dick actress was out partying with her younger sister, 22-year-old Living Lohan personality Ali Lohan. Justin Bieber can't stay away from controversy. While vacationing in Mexico, the 21-year-old "Sorry" singer went sightseeing in the city of Tulum where he was thrown out of an ancient Mayan ruin. The trouble began when the My World 2.0 Grammy nominee attempted to enter the archeological site with a beer in his hand. He later attempted to take a photo with his backside exposed. Rachel Bloom has won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy Series for her starring role in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It was the first nomination and win for the 28-year-old actress who was definitely the dark horse going into the ceremony as her fellow nominees were all previous Golden Globe, Emmy and Oscar winners. Her competition included Jamie Lee Curtis, nominated for Scream Queens, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, nominated for Veep, Lily Tomlin, nominated for Grace and Frankie and last year's winner and fellow CW star Gina Rodriguez, nominated for Jane the Virgin. Lady Gaga, aka Stefani Germanotta, has won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Limited Series, Series, or Motion Picture for her performance as the Countess in the fifth season of American Horror Story: Hotel. It was the first nomination and the first win for the 29-year-old "Poker Face" singer who was in genuine shock when comedian Kevin Hart read her name. As she made her way to the stage, wearing a black curve hugging dress, she unknowingly gave Leonardo Di Caprio a jolt by bumping into his chair. The 52-year-old filmmaker became the 292nd artist to put his hand and footprints in cement at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
